Laconic has teamed up with the Medicine Hat Mavericks and has become an official sponsor of the franchise. Medicine Hat is renowned as one of Canada’s great baseball cities, and being huge fans of the game, it made sense to support the Mavericks.

The Mavericks are a member of the Western Major Baseball League (WMBL) which is a summer collegiate baseball league. It is officially classified as semi-pro and plays intraleague games on some occasions. We can’t wait to get the word out about Laconic at Athletic Park, you’ll be hearing us on PA announcements, seeing us on all the 50/50 tickets and we’re also in all the official programs. We’ve become the primary designer for all things Mavericks and hope to heighten the image of the club throughout this upcoming season. It’s more important than ever to have local businesses step up and support unique enterprises that make Medicine Hat the great place it is!

If you’re interested in becoming an official sponsor like we did, check out www.themavericks.ca or email Greg Morrison at office@themavericks.ca

Best of luck to the Medicine Hat Mavericks in 2010, let’s hope they have a stellar season. If you’re in Medicine Hat this summer, we’ll see you at Athletic Park!

Owning Everest is a brand new exercise therapy and health consultation company headquartered in Fort McMurray. They provide comprehensive health and fitness services for people seeking to find lifelong health and wellness through the use of exercise and nutrition. The health care professionals at Owning Everest are committed to helping the client work through physical, emotional, mental and environmental barriers to health and wellness.

We were thrilled when OE contacted us and wanted help with branding, website, business cards and promotional materials. It was easily one of our favourite projects, simply because all we were provided with was an idea for a name and who the target market was, the rest was up to Laconic. We provided OE with some great solutions and definitely delivered on budget. We’ve posted their logo, business card and flyer designs in our portfolio if you want to check it out.

It was great working with the team at OE and we hope their business truly flourishes in Fort McMurray, Alberta. For more information on Owning Everest, visit their website www.owningeverest.com

Laconic worked with Aztec Masonry and Landscaping in early 2009. The project involved creating a great brand that would seperate Aztec from their competition in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Laconic worked with Aztec Masonry and Landscaping in early 2009. The project involved creating a great brand that would seperate Aztec from their competition in Lethbridge, Alberta. We were extremely happy with the result and definitely felt it would serve as a great launchpad for any external advertising done by the company.

We approached Aztec towards the end of the summer about creating an online presence that would go hand-in-hand with their new brand. The result is www.aztecmasonry.ca which features some videos of their work, photo galleries, great testimonials and a detailed/fully functional quote request form. What could be better?

We sincerely hope that Aztec is able to take their business, client base and service offerings to the next level in 2010 with the brand and website we have developed. If you’re in the greater Lethbridge area we strongly reccommend checking out their services whether it’s a new deck, fenced backyard or high profile masonry project to make your neighbours jealous.

Laconic designed a couple posters and small marketing publications for THESKYLIFE in Autumn of 2008 but now they are back with a brand new disc and have commissioned Laconic to design it. We are excited about this amazing opportunity and it should be ready shortly, in fact the actual disc itself hits select shelves and merch tables in late-September.

THESKYLIFE is based out of Edmonton, Alberta and incorporates melodies of bands like Copeland, Taking Back Sunday and Brand New. Blending a foundation of acoustic guitar similar to Dashboard with electric guitar and synth similar to that of Angels & Airwaves.

Members of THESKYLIFE are:

Justin Carter (vox, guitar, electronic rythms)

Bobby Kuhl (Back Vox, piano, Synth)

Josh Steffen (Drums)

Dwight Werbicki (Bass)

Daniel Hooft (Lead Guitar)

Their new album is entitled “Roots and Wings” and as stated previously, drops on September 26th, 2009. Stay tuned for the disc design.

Quarantine provides some of the best industrial grade restraint systems on the market and all products manufactured by Quarantine Restraints Ltd. are of the highest quality to conform to all current legislation and regulations.

Quarantine provides some of the best industrial grade restraint systems on the market and all products manufactured by Quarantine Restraints Ltd. are of the highest quality to conform to all current legislation and regulations. Quarantine Restraints Ltd. will develop its products to meet and exceed all current transportation requirements and is committed to provide products to meet such regulations as those specified for Alberta Transportation 2010.

“Quarantine sets the standard in high end Engineer Rated pick-up cargo restraints.”

As cargo securement nets become the topic of discussion in today’s safety-conscious society, tougher cargo securement regulations are already being considered. In many provinces and states throughout North America, police are handing out hefty fines for improper load securement. For instance, by the year 2010 in the province of Alberta, an operator of a pick up truck will be not only responsible for cargo securement, but be required to use an approved cargo restraint net that has a working load limit indicated on the product. Quarantine Restraints Ltd. aims to maintain the highest cargo securement standards in all its products and be a leader in the area of vehicle regulations as they pertain to cargo safety and securing cargo. Laconic knows that the staff at Quarantine are well on their way to making their products more accessible across North America and a strong marketing partnership will only make this vision a definite reality.
